I am trying to remove the front adjusting bolt and bushing to lower the front of my car and I need a quick how to. I am working with the the car jacked in the air (no lift) and wheels off. Need help asap
What you do need to know? I have done this a few times now. Are you removing the bolt completely and leaving it out? Or removing it to cut the bushings?
If you do leave it out, I recommend using a cut flat piece of rubber hose or something between the spring and the A-arm as an insulator. It will make noise without this.
If you are having difficulty with space, you may need to use a jack on the spring to give it a lil bit of play. Also, unbolt the swaybar end link and the 2 lower shock bolts to give you more room to work with. The A-arm will drop down farther.

thanks for the link, I am going to try and take the bolt out completely, can you explain a little more about what you were saying about putting a flattend hose between leaf and A-arm sorry im not the brightest yet. Learning as I go. Thank for the replies. Ill check back once I get the bolt out.
I didn't put anything in between at first in my car, and had some squeaking noise at first. I then did something similar to in the link, using a piece of thick HD rubber hose, cut into a flat rectangle.
I do recommend upgrading the shocks when lowering this far.
I am having trouble getting the a arm to lower... all of the bolts that need to come out, are out. for some reason the a arm will not lower, do you have any suggestions?
I would definately put the rubber between the spring and the a arm.My makes noise and it only lowered down less then .25".Not really worth the ride noise.I'm going coilovers soon to get really low!!!
all you need to do to get your front lowered is to use the adjusting bolt(on each side of the car's front). Be careful or you will mouse ear it if you are going the wrong way. To assist things, also use a jack and a small block of wood. Place jack in the slot open through the A-arm and use to it to slightly lift the spring. Lastly, if you do mouse ear the bolt from the top, never fear, you can also turn it from below.

Well I cut the bolts in the front and cut the bushings in the rear. Holy Shi$ this thing sits low now!
Not quite as low as my lowered 350Z but It is a huge improvement.
Hopefully when I get my new camera this weekend I will get some pics up.
My old AGFA took a crap on me last night.

I think what I will do is cut a piece of the rear rubber bushing that I cut off the rear and gorilla glue it to the front monospring to avoid any squeaking, now being that I cut the bolts off.
