I have tried the search and can not "find" the history that I am sure is somewhere on this forum.
I am upgrading rims and figured that I would replace the batteries on my wheel sensors. I have found the site for someone to do this for me for a fee, however I figured that I would ask....
what are the chances that I can obtain instructions and the battery myself and complete this as a DIY project...... Anyone have a thread to review or web link? I have a 99 FRC......... so they are the "old" style sensors from what I have read. Thanks gang.
the search function is not always helpful. I know Neri at Nericreations.com is the vendor you mentioned. Someone else posted a month or two ago that he had successfully opened up a sensor and replaced the battery, then resealed it again. I, on the other hand, sent mine to Neri - he not only replaced the battery but he also tested them out.
You would need to get your hands on an old bad sensor and basically destroy it to figure out how to do it correctly. There is oviously a way to do it but you would also need to figure out what is the correct battery
It is not impossible but may be more of a PITA to undertake the project than to just send them off to be rebuilt.
