It has been suggested to me to use Redline MTL in the M6 tranny. I've always used sythetic ATF in my other cars. Any comments on what is the best to use?
I tried Redline D4, but I didn't see that much improvement.
I called Redline and asked if I could use MTL (like I do in my T5 in my IROC). Redline told me I could, but I might experience hard shifting during extremely cold days.
I swapped the D4 for the MTL and the shifting is much improved. I had the car out when it hit 6 degrees and it was a bit hard to shift, but not much. After a couple of miles it shifted smooth again.
BTW, D4 and MTL share the same viscosity......70W.
