Under pass. footwell, Take out the fusebox cover and there is one loose plug/wire down there. Well I think it's actually two connectors but they are part of the same 'loom', 4-6 conductors or something like that.
If you order the CD player/install kit, Fitchner is cheapest for new stuff IMO plus great to deal with. Their instructions tell you how to get at that plug. I think it changed a bit in certain years.
You can mount the CD player in the smaller compartments with some minor mods, leaves the center open.
