Default ASA cam
Has anyone tried one of these and if so what are they like?I like a lumpy sound and a broad powerband.This cam looks like it would be nice to the springs because it is only a .525 lift 110 236 239.

Don't remember the ramp rates on this cam, that will also determine longevity of the springs.

There is also a more agressive version known as the "Grand Am Cup" cam I believe. LS1tech has a bunch of posts on the subject.

You're right, either the ASA or Grand Am cam will let your springs last forever, but the duration will make it tough to tune.
