Default LS6 Intake instal ?

Just bought a used Z06 Intake and will be installing myself along with my H/C.

Anyway only recently have I been seeing people mention plugs and lines when talking about this swap. I will be doing the work on a 99.

Here are some pics of the intake I just snapped. By looking at these can you tell what I'm missing? I don't want to be doing it and realize I need to buy something else.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Just swap your old MAP sensor. Everything else is there. Check the gaskets, it may be worth it to buy a new set it the old ones are crushed.

On the early LS-1 cars your coolant tubes went from the front of the heads to the back in a "X" pattern, since the LS6 manifold has a lowered floor the coolant cross over pipe won't fit, call Fichtners and talk to Bob in the parts dept. he'll hook you up with a new coolant pipe and plugs.

You definetly should change the gaskets (throttle body, and intake to heads) unless you want leaks, be sure you have thoroughly cleaned the intake inside and out. otherwise it's an easy install with the new front coolant lines and rear plugs (dealer only items) I just installed one on my 99FRC with no problems, I bought a new intake w/gaskets. My original gaskets were seeping with only 21,000 miles therefore that is why I wouldn't chance the used gaskets on your intake.

I have been looking for the same pipe and plugs, so far GM Parts Direct seems to have the best price. I probably need new seals also for some reason, The intake I bought was new but the seals are smashed.

Part# 12578838 QTY 1 pipe
Part# 12563325 QTY 2 cover

Let me know if anyone has a better place to buy.
