Default Dual Zone Heat Question

In cars, other than corvettes, that I own with dual digital readout heater controls, both the driver and the passenger selected temperature display on the screen. I'm picking up my first '00 coupe tomorrow and while checking it out I noticed that the passenger temperature control had no effect on the temp displayed in the screen. The **** is also different from the driver side in that it has a white reference line on it so that its position is known as you rotate it through the hot and cold positions. That leads me to believe that the passenger temperature is never displayed on the screen. Am I correct or is the system not functioning properly. Thanks.

Yes, you are correct. The only control you have is colder/same/warmer than the drivers control, and it does not effect the readout. The important thing about the dual zone climate control is make sure it works on both sides of the car, and through all vents. Just had to replace an actuator that didn't respond to the fuse pull fix or the battery un-hook fix. Head units also can go bad, as well as the battery leak on the vacuum hose problem. Enjoy the new ride!

You are correct, The passenger temp is never displayed. Selecting either side of the white dot can give the passenger up to 5 degrees difference.

Thanks a lot for the input. I'll check the system to be sure all the vents work.
