Would appreciate some honest advise on adding several mods on my 01 MN6 coupe. Some say headers/exhausts/converters are the way others say air intake systems/chips, etc. Appreciate your feedback.
First mods should be intake and exhaust, then go from there. It make sense to go with header adn x pipe next... there pretty safe and you need them for any mod going forward. Chips and programer are not that advantageous, save the $$$ for dyno tune or ls1 edit

More air = more power. Then you have to get it out. Good set of headers.
if u want a great intake get vararam. the topend power is incredible with this system. for example the cobra to my right in my avatar dynos at 440rwhp/440rwtq when I would race im on the freeway with the stock intake he would just leave me like I was standing. after I put the vararam on he barely edges out. he was so surprized that I was so close to him when we raced. bottom line if u get vararam u will not be dissapointed.
Heres the best advice:
Dont do a damn thing, log off the web sight and never return.
Once the first modification starts, your a crack ho, and you always are looking to save for the next hit/modification.
Save yourself, while you still can or you will be a modaholic getting group therapy at this wed sight. After several thousands of dollars worth of treatments starting with GHL exhaust, and Im begining to put the pipe/charge card down.
Save yourself and run for your life while you still can

Good advice here Especially the part about the dyno tune. Be sure to go to an experienced tuner for this and you will be very glad you did. There are several, all around the country, that are very well known and respected here on the forum. HTH

BTW, a good place to check for tuners in Fla would be to go to one of the regional sites here on the forum (Southeast in your case) and get recommendations there.

For the best bang-for-the-buck, check out the Halltech Stinger-R intake system that the Corvette Garage sells. It'll boost your rear wheel HP as much as any other intake and cost over $100 less (than most other systems) to boot. You can check out how easy installation is on my website. While you're there, take a look at my cold air mod. It'll provide fresh cold air to your intake filter without blocking your fog light panels and involves an investment of $40 or less. You can see the plans at http://www.conceptualpolymer.com/corvette_c5_corner.htm
