I never had much luck with Hawk pads. For street use you might want to try the EBC greenstuff pads.

I love my Hawk pads
I love my Hawk racing/street pads, I autocross and do track days. One of my racing buds just bought a pair of Greenstuff pads and he didn't take the time to brake em' in. Glazed bigtime and couldn't race. Just thought I give ya my 2 cents wort, Chuck

HAWK pads ROCK!!!!, For the street you probably should use the hps compound , or if want more aggressive (and dirty) try the hp plus compound.

Hawk Pads do not equal LOW dust. I used the HPS pads one weekend and tossed them. The HP Plus was very good but lots of dust.

I like my Hawk HPS's. The best price I could find was $94 front, $68 rear which actually came from truck performance dot com.
