Quick timing chain question

I'm in the middle of a cam swap and want to know if a ls2 timing chain will fit on my gears and if it any better than an ls1 chain. Thanks, Jeremy.

Yes it will fit, and it is a little beefier. I put one on my Z during a cam swap about a month ago. Used the old sprockets & fit perfect. Scott

Or go a step further and go with a roller chain and sproket like the Rollmaster. Also Crane has one out I saw on Hot Rod TV. Much stronger than either of these.

Thanks for the replies. I am also installing a ported ls6 oil pump as well. I want to stick with the gm single roller chain so I dont have to change timing covers or shim the oil pump. My combo will not be seeing anything above 6500 rpm anyway. Jeremy
