Default Computer Code?

I have a 2000 coupe and my check engine light has came on. When I checked the computer to see what had triggerd this the only current code that appeared was 10-PCM P1416. I looked it up and it says AIR System Bank 2. Does anyone have any idea what this is and if it is something I need to get fixed? Thanks for the help.

This seems to happen a lot in the cold damp weather. There have been 5 post about this very same issue. You more than likley have stuck AIR check valves. The dealer replaced mine under warrenty and that fixed the issue. They are on your manifolds.

The other one is behind the manifold but there is a way to get to it with out removing the manifold.

Follow the metal line and you will "FEEL" it!

Please let me know if you have questions.

this happened to me a few months ago. So I checked error codes on my DIC, wrote them down and cleared them. The check engine light went out and I haven't had any more problems with it since. It's worth a try. Good Luck.

John
