You can sometimes find a low mileage 3.42 pumpkin in the C5 Parts For Sale forum for about $500-$600. I think a new pumpkin will cost about $1100.00. If you have 3.15s you can sell them or have them rebuilt as 3.42s. If you have 2.73s call Forum Sponsor DTE they can rebuild your 2.73 carrier with 3.42 gears. It normally costs between $300-$400 to swap carriers.

How soon do you need it? I might be going with a 3:73 set up from a Forum member, at which point my 2002 Z06 3:42 would be available. This might make the deal for both of us.

Just about any good speed shop can install it for you. The dealer can do it to, but will probably not be able to program your PCM for the swap
