Default Air Intake - Throttle Body Duct Separation

The air intake/bridge on my 2000 has separated from the accordian air duct. Is there a simple way an amatuer like me can reconnect these parts? The parts seem to have been connected by a thin metal band which appears to be crimped. I tried to squeeze these parts to reconnect them but was unable to do so. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
O. L.

Take or cut the band off and use a large hose clamp. If you can't find a large enough clamp, series-connect the largest sizes you can find together. Leaving them larger than required, slide them on the bridge, install the bridge, slide the clamp up to the connection point and tighten.

I have mine clamped w/ a high-quality Ty-Rap.

I'm definitely looking to replace my air bridge w/ a silicone coupler.. The stock set-up sux.

Mine came apart also. I used a tie wrap and it has stayed secure.

Go to Home Depot and get a standard 3+ inch hose clamp...nothing fancy needed here.
