Bung on Rt LGM Header?
I have a set of LGM longtube headers. I noticed on the Rt side there is a bung welded onto one of the tubed. It's small and points straight up. It also doesn't go into the header (blind). WTH is it for? TIA

The AIR tube? It's for emissions.

Nope not the Air tube. It looks like a 2 1/2" long, thin bolt that's been welded onto the tube. Prob for some kind of sensor.

Is it on the primaries or farther back on the main?
Maybe for a wideband?

it's where the oil dipstick bolts up on the older cars.

It's right below the air tube connection.

They put that there for the 97 & 98 cars.
They have thier dipstricks mounted to that thing.

I saw that on my newly arrived set of LGs too and was wondering what it is for. Amazing how this forum has a way of answering my questions before i even get around to ask them.

And in the future,
yes, yes, no, and why would you want to do that?
