Slip how? With the weight of the car? I just bought the Elite Engineering ones and used them twice already and they are awesome, especially for the price. I may buy another set to use for paperweight cause they look so good!
I'm looking for vinal or plastic covered pucks, so they won't slip.
Does antbody know a vendor that has these?
A better way to go is to get a rubber pad insert for your jack. About $10 at Harbor Freight. You might need to jack something else that needs cushioning occasionally and it will come in handy.
What type of jack are you using? I just purchased the same pads from Elite Engineering ($39 for a set of 4) and haven't received them yet. How much clearance do you have from the ground with these pads installed? I have a Craftsman professional jack 3.5ton with the large (4" I think) dish on the lift arm and would like to know if that'll work or whether I need to buy a special jack. I know my car is 5" off the ground.
Thanks for your help!

If you haven't lowered your car your jack might work. If not, just pull up onto a couple of pieces of wood or if you want to go further make some wood ramps.
They don't slip on the car, it's possible for the pads to slip on the steel arms of a lift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never had my trusty $0.99 a piece hockey pucks (W/O any eye bolts) ever slip, and I lifted the 'Vette many times over the past 3 years. The eyebolt is more for the ease of locating the puck under the slot, so you won't have to bend over and eyeball where to put it.
I imagine if you off-center the end of the lifting arm on the puck enough, it could slip. But like most, I double check this operation a few times before I lift.
