bunch of electrical problems lately. all the lights in my car start dimming and flickering out of no where and it stays that way. cant figure that one out. recently the headlights are having a problem going up. it's not the motors since they operate fine, but instead everytime i turn the stalk to the on position for the headlights, the fogs come on, but the headlights themselves dont flip up. i usually have to return the stalk to the off position and then back to on position 2-3 more times to get the lights up. anybody know what this is all about?
The head light motors are grounded to Chassis grounds G-101 & 102. They are more than likley corroded and have high resistance. The fact that you have to flip the switch a bunch of times points to bad grounds. Here is a picture of one of the grounds and a post to help you understand the extent of the problem:
Clean the grounds and see if that fixes your problem. Make sure that you completly disassemble the connectors and clean the pins inside with a wire brush!
actually did replace the battery last month with a higher cca delco battery. seeing that you guys are saying it might be a loose connection and another post saying that my dimming lights are a symptom, im gonna go and recheck the tightness of the connection. thanks
