I need new rotors and pads on my 97...the pedel is starting to push back at me when I stop...
I have seen posts before on the NAPA rotors they are like $25 each! the search won't get me any information on the forum...are they "you get what you pay for" or any good? I am not an auto-x'er just a weekend warrior on nice sunny days...also, what about AutoZones PFC pads with these??? anybody go this route and happy?
I tried the low-priced NAPA rotors, but must have gotten a bad pair. They were out of parallel and had to be surfaced. Other than that, they are decent. I use the Raybestors Quiet Stop pads. Much less dusting than the stockers. Take a look at the Raybestos rotors http://www.raybestos.com/usa/features/rotors.htm
The BruteStop and SuperStop are supposed to be very good. Brutestops are $50 each at RockAuto.
Look at these, too: http://www.nationalfleetparts.com/sp_performance.asp

Someone else once posted the part numbers for Napa Rotors as follows
86700
86701
86702
86703
Does anyone know which are the correct numbers?
From: Alhambra Calismognazifornia, in the country everyone comes just to complain but won't go back home!
PFC Zrated are great! very good combo pad, same performance as stock pad on streets and can take the heat of some road track abuse.
i couldn't say about the napa's, i like the look of the eradispeeds too much
The NAPA rotors function very well, but the center portion tends to show rust after a short time. I think I'll probably paint the centers on a new set before I put them on.
The Autozone pads are guaranteed for life, but I'm sure it wouldn't take long for them to void this warranty if you trade them in 2 or 3 times a year.
The Autozone pads are not warrantied for life anymore. They used to be, but when I went to buy a spare set last year, they only gave me a 2 year warranty.
I have been using NAPA rotors on my car for about a year now. No problems and I can't tell the difference in performance from stock. Obviously my car sees pretty extreme duty.
Last set I bought from the local NAPA warehouse had three labeled as Made in Canada and one Made in the USA. Visually, they are the same. As a note though, the "hats" aren't painted on these like stock. I go through them so fast that isn't a problem for me, but many who use them for the street paint the "hats" with high temp paint to prevent rust before putting them on.
I don't sweat the part numbers. I just walk into NAPA and say "four rotors for a 2002 Corvette." They've never let me down.

I don't think you will get two years from them either. You have nothing to worry about
