Where to look first?

I have a buzzing noise when I hit 1300-1400 rpms. It happens only when I am applying gas at this rpm, and will stop when I acelerate or take my foot off the gas. The noise is hard to localize, but does not sound like it is from the engine. I suspect it is from the exhaust system, but where to look first? Thanks.

Good luck. The exhaust will make a gingling noise comming from a poor design on the H pipe . You hear it when you let off the gas.

same exact problem but only in the 99 C5 when i had my 98 it didnt make this noise.. and only at 1300 rpms

not sure what the can of marble sound is either but it only occurs at 1300rpm... and DocToss i still dont know what the problem is i only got the car yesterday ...

anyone know what it can be????
