Installed it today. Took 20 minutes. Its a real nice piece.
I noticed that the bottom of the air filter sits nearly flat against the rad shroud obstructing about 30% of total filter area. O opened the shroud under that area and also opened the foglight surrounds. (getting Z06 screens for the front)
Took it on the highway for a cruise and a couple WOT blast.
Nice SOTP increase. Probably a 10-15RWHP gain. The Halltech airbridge looks great too!
I used the writeup posted by someone on the site here. It was a GREAT writeup!
Next is a TCI 3000 stall with cooler and Z06 catback install
So do you notice any pinging like everyone else with intake and exhaust mods?
I have not noticed any pinging with my setup of Stinger and GHLs. I will let you in a few weeks once the Headers are in, but I would suspect nothing after that either.
Congrats on the Mod. See they are really easy. Next Mod?

No pinging with my dual stingers (Halltech & Borla) on Chevron 93.
That halltech really looks good under the hood there! Nice clean engine bay!
So, I wonder if the pinging problem with simple intake and exhaust mods is truely only with the vettes without the MAF screen? Everybody that posted here saying "nope no pinging" has an earlier than '02 vette meaning that they still have that MAF screen in there. Interesting. I wonder what is different about the PCM's pre '02 and post '02. Any Corvette Mechanics Reading that might have input on that?
Only the 02-04 Z06s came from the factory without MAF screens, so coupes and verts of any year should be just fine after a Stinger install. By the way, all those intake components you see in the pictures cost a very reasonable $239.00 or less, depending on whether a GP was involved. That's a HECK of a bargain, especially for a C5, which tends to attract "Vette taxes"!
