My driver's side taillights are out (the 2 on the back). I took out the bulbs and tested them and they are fine. So whatever is sending the signal to the lights is out. Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help

Use a probe light or volt meter and see if the current is getting back there. Could be wiring.
I had same thing not long ago and it ended being the "flasher switch" (I can't recall the exact name.) It is a little difficult to replace... Hope this helps,
Luis
I've checked the fuses, grounds, cleaned the rear harness (the one by the passenger wheel well), installed the new hazard switch, tested the bulbs. The previous owner installed a new turn signal switch less than 7000 miles ago I believe. He was having problems with the headlights and the turn signal assembly (according to the dealership).
I have no idea what's going on! I've searched the forum for everything related to this and diagnosted everything said!!!!??
No both driver's side taillights are completely out. No turn signal, no hazards, no brakelights, nothing. It is as if both bulbs went out but that is not the case.

Examine and clean grounds G-401 and 402. They are both on the frame behind the rear tires. If you have a newer C5 you may not have anything connected to G-402. There is a splice pack (SP-400) that ALL of the grounds from each light set tie together in but I have never seen what a splice pack looks like. If cleaning the ground G-104 failes to correct the issue, check the harmess and find that splice pack.
Here is a picture of G-104.
You will have a stud in that location. Mine broke off during removal of the nut and I had to replace it with a self tapping sheet metal screw.

I suggested he use a probe or volt meter to check current. That would tell him if it was a bad ground. Guess he didn't want to try the easy stuff first.

Had similar problem with my 98 vette. replaced turn signal assembly, problem solved.
I checked everything with a probe and a good ground and the positive wires are not sending a signal. I can't believe it would be related to the turn signal assembly as this was just replaced a few thousand miles ago.
What fuses would be related to what's going on? I opened up both fuse boxes (below the hood and passenger) and pulled all the ones I could tell that were related to this and couldn't find anything.

If you're saying it's just the taillights, maybe it's time to run a new wire from the other side.
