I have seen Raiders car in person, it is awesome. It is as low as I think a Vette can be, it is actually lower than the picture (especialy with that gorilla in it!) Just kidding man but you are a freakin monster, his arms are like the size of waist! His front tires are tucked in the wheel well when I saw it.

Hey Raider what exhaust is on it, it is LOUD!

BTW I am the skinny kid that was talking to you with the Rangers hat on at the mall last week.

Glad you had the *****....lets see the pics. And a ground to fender well measurement!!

Did you put rubber in and if so how thick?

I was looking over those pics of the bushing cutting (which I had done) and whats left doesn't look very thick. I would think 1/4 rubber would be same as what left on the bushing.

Wish I had watched them cut my bushing...still think they only removed 1/3 instead of 2/3 of it.

Ill get the pics tomorrow.

I have the 19-20 wheel combo.
The tires now are about 1/2 inch taller than stock runflats.
Now my ground to fender height is 25 3/4.

I didnt use any rubber spacer. I only used lithium grease.

Not to be a jerk about this but:
If you lower the front the car excessively you have very little suspension travel cause it bottoms on the spring bumpers. So you cut the bumpers and it has virtrually no suspension travel and will handle terribly on anything but a smooth road, but you take the bolts out, so now it shatters the shock bumpers cause that is next in line. Once that is finshed the shocks have no travel and a bad bump or brake spike should pop the shocks out of the lower control arms or fracture the wheel well at which point you are as low as you can go...

eh?

Two years with no bolts, nothing in between spring and control arm, no shock damage, no spring damage, no adverse effects noted to date...

and to note, I noticed a huge difference in handling over stock, but that wasn't my reasoning for doing it - it was purely for the look. I'd never go back to 4x4 appearance after the amount of compliments I get.

This seems to be one of those things that...

The only people advising against it, have never done it.
The people who have done it don't seem to have any complaints.

Many people told me 2 years ago my ride quality would suck if I cut the front bushings off.
Well. it's been 20,000 miles now w/o the bushings. Car still rides smooth as silk.

Experience vs theory...I know which one I trust more.

Default Slammed!!!!!!

I just wanted to compliment 99Z51R on his ride, as far as I am concerned it is the sweetest looking car on the forum. Now that I am through flattering him , I took my front bolts out and installed the longer bolts in the rear and the car really looks awesome. It is about 25 3/4 "infront and 26 3/4 in the rear. With the 20'' wheels on the rear I may end up having to raise it up just a hair , because I only have about 1'' of clearance between tire and finder. Thanks to the forum on great "how to's".
