Hi guys! I'm new to the forum and also to Vette ownership. My car has a ProCharger Supercharger in it and I have to disengage the Active Traction control each time I drive the car. That is getting annoying and quite frankly I forget sometimes (which is NOT good when running a supercharger!)
Sooooo, I'm installing a LapTrax controller that will automatically turn it off for me. Trouble is, I can't seem to find 12v ACCESSORY power. I've looked through the forum and noticed that on '04 models GM stopped putting the extra circuit wires in the passenger floorboards, but couldn't find anywhere what to use now that GM decided to save fifty cents.
Any ideas on where to find 12v accessory power on an '04? I found power when the key is "ON" but not "accessory" and unfortunately, part of the LapTrax programming functionality requires holding the Active Handling button down while in Accessory and then turning the key to "ON", so I have to have Accessory power. HELP!
I used a Littelfuse Add-A-Circuit to add an accessory tap fro my shift light so I could use the built-in tap for my cutouts. I tapped into an unused switched fuse position in the fuse panel in the passenger footwell. Here's a series of pics showing it.
