Default Need a little help with the Vararam......

Can someone explain to me how the plate in the middle of the two air ducts holds them together? I heard someone on the forum had a better explanation on how to install the Vararam than the provided directions included in the kit.

If anyone has pics of the center portion that would be great. Thanks!!

I don't have the link, but am sure someone will chime in with it. Also, check on the Vararam web site, they have some photo's there that you can enlarge.

There should be four holes in the plate that line up with four holes in the air tubes. The plate is the bridge that connects and holds the tubes together. You kit should have four nuts and bolts to go with it.

That's correct, if you just go put that plate where 90droptop says it will be immediately obvious how it fits.

just a piece of advice...they were a PITA to tighted down. If you have a friend to help you its the best, but if you don't have one of those useful tools around the next best thing is a pair or two of vice-grips to hold em in place so you can tighted them...GOOD LUCK and let us know how you like it when you're done.

It wasn't that bad to tighten them. I found it easy to lay on the ground for the lowest two. Use a screwdriver in your left hand to hold the screw and a 1/4 drive with an extension and 10mm to tighten with your right. The higher screws you can reach through your hood and use the wratchet without the extension to hold the nut and use the screwdriver to tighten the bolts. Voila! Easy. Remember, you don't have to kill these nuts. Only torque to 10 ft./lbs. That is easily achievable with a screwdriver.
