Default Battery Charging Question

My vette charges the battery between 14.8 and 15.0 volts, does this sound a little hi? Also, I recently moved so the car sat for about five weeks, when I got in it yesterday it was completely dead, nothing was left on, and it was a three month old battery. Any ideas?
Thanks Ed

5 weeks is enough to completely drain the battery. There is a substantial constant drain on these cars (with everything off), and leaving them sit idle for weeks without a trickle charger or battery tender isn't a good idea.

I seem to remember reading that GM engineers only spec'd the battery to last 21 days idle and still have enough "juice" to start the car.
Yours sat 2 weeks longer than that.

Mine went 6 months. Disconnect the ground cable. Your voltage of 14.5 is good.
