Default Drivers side power lock

...anyone replace the power lock solenoid? I think I need to replace mine, its gotten to the point if I hit the automatic locks, it wont lock until maybe 1 in every 4 or 5 tries. Real annoying and probably pretty unsafe with the doors unlocked...Part numbers? Instructions?? Tips?

My drivers door will not lock with the inside button or with the remote. If I manually lock it and walk away, the remote will work and open the door. I'll live with it for now. Question....is it the solenoid or is it the module, or are the both the same animal?

It's the module located inside the drivers door. The exact same thing happened to my 2002 vert. The dealership replaced it under warranty. Hope this helps

Try a fresh battery first.

When the same thing happened to me on my '99 it turned out to be the BCM (Body Control Module) located behind the driver's side headrest under the lip of the hatch opening- like $300 for a new module.
