who are putting some serious power to the wheels do it? I mean damn I am only putting 353 to the ground and its all I can do to keep from spinning the tires from 35 mph if I get into it to hard...I can't imagine how you guys at 500 or more do it...I would be buying tires in bulk
Best way I've found is to roll into the throttle. Don't just mat it or you will spin. Just easily, but aggressively roll into it and you shouldn't have a problem.

What tires are you running and how wore down are they? I noticed with my old runflats and not much tread left, car was really squirrelly. New tires hook way better. I can slip the clutch to get going, nail it and get a little wheel spin but care is moving out fast. Cold weather affects traction too
Coming from someone with these numbers in thier sig - it is safe to follow that advice!

What kinda tires are those? and what size and need me some of them my 335/30/18 Michelin Pilots are not cutting it.
These are off a Jaguar XJ220 (140 tread wear) and net me 1.75 at the strip. Work great on road courses, autoxing and long trips. My car is tubbed to fit 18 x 12 wheels on the back.
The drag radials are bfgs, ok on the street as long as its dry and you don't mind how it pickes everything up with its soft compound.
Nitto also makes a good all around tire.
If you are below 400 at the wheels you don't need that big a tire at the strip.
Our 00' vert is near 350 RWTQ and sticks with 275/35/18 drs to a 1.72 60'. Anything with treads will be tough to get to stick consistantly........just takes time & pressure playing
It's really hard to resist laying down some serious rubber on the pavement anytime I'm driving it.
I try to save most of those urges for the track with the drag radials.
