First time Vette owner and the c5 I bought has 97k and I want to start fresh with its maintenance needs. I bought and plan to install new A/C delco wires and plugs, fuel filter and air filter. What else should be addressed. The book says trans fluid. I have had other cars transmisssions flushed via attaching to a trans line or cooler line. Can the trans be flushed with this type of tranny flush machine?

Change all fluids, check tire wear for being even or check alignment. Try a compression check just for a bench mark. Enjoy your new car! Plenty of help on the forum here from everyone.
Belts? Only if they're showing significant cracking (rule of thumb is 8 cracks per inch).
Timing chain? I've looked hi and lo, east and west, (you get the idea), and have found NO recommendations for changing out a chain. I got one knowledgable answer that said to consider it after 150,000 miles, but even then he was recommending that as a "warm fuzzy".
I'd also drop a bottle of Techron fuel additive into the system to clean up the injectors and intakes.
