Default paging LT header guys with Z06 catback

Hi guys,

I have a setup of TPIS headers with three inch Xpipe and mid section waiting to go on. (Need to get the headers coated)

How much of a volume increase is there with LT headers, OR xpipe and Z06 catback compared to stock?

I have a pair of RT mettalic cats I plan on putting in later.

Is it a HUGE volume increase at idle and cruise or is it reasonable?

I have LT's with cats and the Ti system. The sounder is slightly louder than stock, but by no means really loud. Bullets or Stingers will definitely be significantly louder than this setup.

Thanks guys!

I didn't want the wife getting irritated with a big volume increase.

I had headers, cats, and x-pipe installed and kept my Ti exhaust. Like you, I was really concerned about noise since I had a Borla Catback system on my last car and the drone was annoying. Happy to say that the increased volume is minimal at best. At WOT, the car seems much more throaty and aggressive, but I would not call it louder. I asked my wife if she noticed the difference and she stated that it sounded the same. My tuner also told me that I really didn't lose anything with the stock Z exhaust per the dyno (396 rwhp) as they were very surprised by the final hp numbers. I think you will be pleased in the fact that they don't add much volume for what you get in performance...

Fine until you get on it over 2800rpm...then it wakes up somewhat. It's a good sound.

With all the above. I had 2 tip Stingers before my Ti's and no-cats.
It was brutal loud with the Borla's on. The rumble was awesome at the track and pulling up to rice, but it became very fatiguing after a while.

After the Ti's went on I got a great balance between good rumble and it is still quiet enough to talk to my passengers without concert type shouts.

Have the set up noted in the signature, nice purr under normal driving, aggressive sound @ WOT but not loud. (There is some valve train noise at cold start up.) Stock exhaust should sound like this, it's what a vette should sound like.

I have the setup in my signature. My wife didn't even notice, but from behind the car you can. She told me the tires were louder than the exhaust (run flats )
