Default fob question

i installed a new hud system with a new cluster due to my 98 did not have hud.. seems like my key fobs do not work now?? do i have to reset from the dci or from fob or from both. and if so ,how would i do this... thanx for any help.

I have an interest in this too....I had to disconnect the battery this week and now my key fobs do not work....

Hold lock and unlock for about 15 seconds, you should hear the horn sound when fobs are reprogrammed.

Holding the lock & unlock is called RE-SYNCING. You need to RE-TRAIN your fobs.

To Train them:

Press reset on the DIC control panel to remove all messages like Door Ajar ect.. Press the options button until you find the blank page. Press reset until you find fob training. Make sure that you have all of your FOBS. You must train all of them in the same session. You can train up to three.

thanks ...worked for me. Recently purchased the car...came without the owners manual

If you purchased a GM FOB that was for your year car, it will work, You can train up to three fobs. The nmbers on the back of the FOBs should all be the same.

You can download the owners manual from www.crossedflags.com in their C5 downloads section...you might have to become a member.
