Default Brakes & shocks question...

First, I want to say that I did look in the Members Product Reivew and Product Evaluations section but couldn't find evaluations for either of the following products... So I am now coming to the "collective experience" the Forum for answers.

(1) ZIP Products drilled/slotted brake rotors and
(2) Bilstein shocks...

Would appreciate any feedback from members who have these products on their Corvettes, as to their satisfaction, or dis-satisfaction.

The two things I've heard is that the drilled/slotted rotors are not worth the extra money and the Bilsteins ride too hard...but all of this is from folks that do not have these items on their cars.

I'm 99% happy with the performance (ride and braking) of the OEM brake and shocks , but would like to improve it to the next level for everyday driving.

Thanks in advance..... and we're talking about a 1999 Coupe!

The drilled rotors are for show, if that is OK then get the zinc coated ones, they look good the longest. Save money on the shock and get Z06 front and rear sway bars. That way you still have a good ride but increased your cornering ability.

Does your car have the Selective Ride Control feature?

99 coupe, went with the Z06 shocks and sways. Big improvement!

For 1% don't bother. Ride in a car near you with the mod and try the shocks.
