Default Replace Tires Now

I just bought new C6 chromies and I am trying to decide wheter to replace the runcraps, but I am considering running out the season with the runcraps as the fronts have 6/32 and the rears still have 4/32 tread left. So would you replace them or try for one more season. Thanx in advance! Jeff

Default If you want new tires

Sell them lots of guys buying runflats to trade in the car
Get a set of supercars
I just did what you're asking , mine had a little more tread but they sold easy
I never looked back.

You thank yourself 10 minutes later from leaving the tire store after getting rid of the runcraps. Sell 'em and recoupe some money.

Jeff, make the move and call Mark. I would ditch the runcraps if at all possible. The wife wants me to keep them on for when she drives it. I guess its time for more rwhp to get her to not want to drive it!

give the runcraps a good death: a nice long burnout until there is nothing left.

A Corvette only weighs about 3200 pounds. For that weight the rear tires are huge. That means that all C5s are very subject to hydroplane. (Light weight big lift area.) The only thing fighting that is the size of the grooves on the tires and tread depth on the tires. Long winded way of saying 4/32 on the back is about as far as I would take a tire if you are ever going to be in the rain.

Richin Chicago-
I'm pretty sure I am going Kumho MX's. I'm also gonna see if I can sell the old tires. Thanx for the input guys! Jeff
