Question about C6 intake manifold on C5
Is putting a C6 intake manifold and throttle body on a C5 LS1 worth the time and money. Also, does it make more horsepower? Is the Z06 manifold the same as an 03 LS1? I was told it was the same!

The '03 LS1 has an LS6 intake. From what I've seen the guys that have done the LS2 manifold are seeing no gain over the LS6.

Yes, but the LS6 intake works better on the LS1. From what I have read they have actually lost a bit of power putting the LS2 intake on the LS1.

Wonder if the LS7 manifold will fit on an LS1. That thing look really beefy when you see pics of the C6 Z06's engine.

IIRC, the LS6 intake works better on the LS2 than the LS2 intake works on the LS2.

On of the trade rags just did an article to which this was tested and in fact they lost hp and tq. Definately not a worth while investment.
