Battery Recommendation

I think I need to replace the Delco battery in my 2002 Z06. Any recommendations?

OEM battery tiedown is just a wedge, so no, it won't work. You can easily make your own tie down out of some bar stock from Home Depot or Lowe's, and some long threaded bars.....or zip ties!

Operations, that's a nifty tie down. Where'd you get it? Please tell more about it. Is it metal or plastic?

No unfortunatly the factory holddown will not work with this battery. I did keep the factory tray, using I believe 12" J bolts and an adjustable plastic hold down. It works well, keeping the battery very secure, but I will probably fabricate something a little more visually appealing latter.

I went with Exide Orbital battery at SAMS Club, its a glass mat (gel) battery. Was $95, has best warrenty. I went with the smaller size, it still has more amps than OEM battery.
