Default A&A frame saver

Is it necessary to drill holes to mount or simply screw in without drilling?

You have to drill holes. No big deal. They make your life much easier. Well worth the minimal effort.

GO to A&A website (see left column), click on Our Creations
then scroll down to Frame Savers. In that section click on
Actual Installation Pictures.

Thanks guys. I see where it said I have to use 3/16" inch bit but how deep? Would hate to drill a hole all the way through.

The metal is thin (thickness is in C5 General Sticky), you have to go all the way thru. You know it's a rectangular hydroformed tube right?? You'd have to have a monster drill bit to get thru the other side too! Just drill until you obviously get thru the first sheet, then pull out.

Thank you leaftye and connecticut. The frame saver had been sitting in my storage for at least a year and half. I guess it's time to try and install.

I used self-drilling screws. Didn't have to drill holes. Worked great.

Actually, I looked at the screws before I drilled mine, and I used the next smallest sized drill bit; much better fit for the screws supplied.
