Default What's wrong with my Vette??

For the last couple of days my Vette has been doing some strange things. The average fuel mileage resets when I turn it off. Also, sometimes my seat won't move into position when I put in the key and it won't move back when I turn the car off. Any ideas what might be causing this?? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like you are having elect gremlins, possible bad battery connection. Original battery? Any codes?

Sometimes they start acting funny when it's time for a new battery...Second look would be at the grounds...

Good Luck

Mine does strange things sometimes. Most recently, I heard a noise that sounded like the driver memory was trying to do something. Try holding the lock/unlock buttons on the key fob for about 7 seconds, (until the horn sounds). That's supposed to syncronize the key fob. Hope this applys to your car!

I would be 99% sure that is a battery going bad. IMO

It may be time for a red top, but I've been hearing some bad things about them lately.

These are the codes I pulled

A0-LDCM
U1064 H

A1-RDCM
U1064 H

B0-RFA
U1016 H
U1064 H
U1096 H

My fuel mileage wasn't reset when I went to pull the codes.

OOOOOHHHHHHH YEEEEEEEEAAAA!! The "LOSS OF COMMS" is telling me that your battery does not have very much reserve capacity and when you hit the starter the line voltage to each module is dropping LOW causing the module to drop off line for a microsecond or so! After the car starts, the alternator takes ove r and everything is back to normay (that you can see ) The only thing that you can see is the loss syncs, memory and loss of comms codes.
If you get a new battery you will most likley solve all of those issues.

My 98 did the EXACT same thing!!! Been there!!!!!!!

I thought that was what was happening, I had an old Cavalier that would do the same thing just lose radio setting because the juice was dropping so low during start up. Thank you very much, I just didn't know what the codes meant.
