well kumar if i wanted to drive cross ****ry for a tune is that not my call? And yes i do plan on having more than bolt ons. So unless you come in to this post with some good info Y bother? Thanks
I was trying to be helpful. If you could offer us more insights into your combo, we/I can be more helpful.
If you want an honest answer, I'd say that Julio at Cartek might be the most qualified tuner for our cars using ls1 edit. From what I know, he worked with the developers of LS1 edit and LS2 edit etc and prolly has the most experience with the software.
But honestly, if you have a regular heads/cam type car, I bet my buddy that lives 5 mins from me and has tuned about 30-40 LS1 cars in his life could get you 95% of the results Julio could if not 100%. There is really not that much in there to do.
btw this is how u spell "country"; just funny cause the way u spelled it made it a bad word
Being really GREAT at something takes real passion! If the one's doing the work do not have this driving passion - they will never be GREAT.
I noticed the guys at East Coast Supercharging have the passion - In fact they are almost certifiable at times But then a little insanity is a sign of genius....

OH NO.........Don't let Don (GENEUS) read this.
Would not tuning also depend on the use of your car? Tunning for optimal street driving vs drag raceing, vs road racing, with out bolt ons and vs bolt ons for the above also are very different.
One tunner may be great for their special appilcation but not for another.
My car is tuned for low end torque to get me out of corners fast and up to speed. I have sacrficed top end speed. Heck I have not been over 150 yet and most likley will not get over 160 on any particular circuit. So I dont need that, but getting up to 140 quickly is what I wanted. So I have almost a flat torque curve from 2200 up to 5500. and HP peaks at 5800
My G/f's A4 auto is tuned for optimal use or to get the most out of a street car. No drag racing or street racing just optimal use of the LS1 engine.
of course the orignial poster didnt say what all he had done to his car so he might need the "best tuner in the world"
you guys crack me up
Obviously you really don't know, a good tuner can take a stock c-5 with NO mods, and still produce more HP, now, as far as tuners go, as far as the west coast is concerned, I strongly suggest A&A Corvette in Oxnard, CA. you will not be dissapointed, P.S., I gave up crack several years ago..
You are going to get alot of answers here. All of us have "our guy" we like to use. You now have a list of reputable tuners here, I would call around and talk to these guys. I can vouch for Vette Drs. They have tuned and worked on two vettes and a LS1 T/A for me in the last 4 years. Both Carmen and Dennis were known as the Vette Drs when they worked for GM at Ramp chevy (one of the biggest dealers on the east coast), before opening shop themselves. They have over 40 yrs of vette exp combined. Of course this is who I would recomend, but who am I? Also, they do mail order tunes.
