fwiw, i have an 04 Z06 and did the air tool filter mod and it has already picked up some oil. so the answer for the 04s is definitely a yes.

I have a brand new AMW catch can kit, never installed, for sale if anyone is interested. I will sell it for $75 shipped. I can post pics tonight if needed. I am work now so I can't do it until later....

I removed the filter when i installed my air compressor oil seperator and i forgot about it for a month or so and the oil was 3/4 of the way up the glass...so remove the filter, i had read before to remove the filter and this may have been the reason why...

It has a mounting braket as well.
