Today, I got a set of old used CCWs from John. When I opened up the box you could tell that they needed some TLC badly. The finish was gone and the wheels had some serious marks from what looks like an impact wrench. We took some 200 grit sand paper and sanded out the scuffs, once the scuffs were basically gone, switched to 400 and than 800. I used some Mothers mag and aluminum polish with a 6" wheel buffing wheel and they came out spectactular. Hopefully we can get the MT 16" drag radials mounted and both cars to the track.

Mothers makes a great product. I recently used it to clean the tips of my Z Ti's. I tried a lot of other degreasers/kerosene based cleaners etc. and the Mothers plus a little elbow grease really worked.
I had to do that with the mickey thompson rims on my truck. 8 month old rims and I had to wet sand them, buff them, and polish them. They came out looking better than new.
