Default Wheel Weights???

Got my new Z06 motor sports mounted today. My shop put two sets of weights on each wheel. One mounted on the back side outer rim and stick on weights on the inside of the rim. Is this normal to put on two sets?

To be clear do you mean inside (toward car) and outside (away from car) or inside/outside the rim on the same side?

If you mean the 1st, i.e. left and right sides of the wheel yes, and that's great because they balanced it inside and out. If you mean the other...seems like alot to me.

PS. I'm no expert

Yup, normal.....and good thing they used the stick ons....I have seen several vettes where the shops hammered weights onto the outer wheel. I would be pi$$ed if they were my cars.

He hammered weights on the outer part of the wheel but on the back side where they are not showing. He put stick on weights in the inside of the rim as close as he could put them to the front of the wheel so they dont show as much. He was going to stick them on a spoke but they were not wide enough. I have confidence in this guy but I just thought it was a lot of weights.

I have seen them on the outside of the rim though, causing the clear and chrome on the wheels to flake. It looked terrible. Glad to hear yours were done right
