I have LG's w/cats and their x-pipe. I ordered 2 1/2in cutouts from QTP. I'm going to have a shop fabricate the exhaust cutout portion and do the rest myself.
Should I have ordered the 3in QTP cutouts? I believe the LG system is 3in all the way back to my Z06 Ti exhaust.
I have the exact same setup except McCord Power Plates. I ordered the 2.5" because I have a DTE brace and wanted to make sure they would fit under the trans with the brace installed. I later thought I should have gotten the 3". But after thinking about it for a long time I figured that with a 2.5" dump and the factory Ti it would flow pretty much the same as an open 3" pipe. So yes the 3" would be good if you mufflers were crappy but with the good flowing factory Ti mufflers and a 2.5" dump I think you will be fine. I bought two 2.5" 90 degree stainless steel bends on eBay and milling me 4 stainless steel flanges now. I'm going to keep it all stainless, I hate rust!
Now if your like at least half of the cutout users and looking to make a bad azz RICE intimidating racket, then I can tell you that 2.5" holes are just as loud as 3" holes!
On mine the cut-outs are 3" and the pipe going back to the mufflers are 2 1/2". I put mine on the dyno, first with it closed and pulled 333rwhp, second and third time with it open, 337rwhp and 340rwhp on the third pull. This was after letting it cool for only 10 minutes before the first pull after a 45 minute highway drive. There was also a gain of 5 ft.lbs. of torque.
