I am installing the PRC dual springs and need some install help.
I have removed the stock ls6 springs and have done the following:
Installed the black base retainer
Installed the new seal ** problem** the seal does not go down to the black retainer. It this OK? If so, what will keep the oil form getting between the seal and the bottom retainer and then leaking into the cylinder?
The stock seal and bottom retainer are all one piece.
The original seal/seats were integrated. Then new ones you are installing are seperate. So, Install the spring seat after removing the stock hardware, then install the seal. A nice properly sized socket often helps with seal install. The seal will NOT go all the way down to the seats. Then install springs/retainer/locks

PS The look at the inside of the new seal, it has rubber on the ID of it that wil seal the oil from leaking between the guide and the seal
