Default Exhaust! looking for help, which one????

Just p/u 3rd Vette, 02' tripple black 6spd- completely stock w/13k miles. Having fun with some mods and extras right up to the point of getting different exhuast. Now I'm beeting my head against the wall. Any recomendations??? have looked at B&B, Borla, Corsa, magnaflow and so on. If stock is a 1 and 10 is the loudest would love a good 5-7. I Also own a few modified Harley's and they would hit the 10 range so Noise loudness isn't bad. Looking for the good old muscle car sound while ripping through gears. True music to the ear!

Appreciate any help..........

Borla would be about a 7-8. I love mine, quad tips. They sound better than stock at idle, and set off car alarms at wide open. Great muscle car sound. I would find some vette owners who live close to you that have made the change to what ever system they have, and listen to them. It can be a difficult decision to make. Been there done that!

Default GHL exhaust, Anyone have experience with these?

Thanks for the input. That sounds like what I'm looking for. I am trying to locate some local cars to hear what a few systems sound like, but easier said than done. What about GHL's anyone have any experience with these????

I think your Corsa Indys would be a 5 or 6 on your scale!

I have a complete Stainless Works System. 1 3/4 primary stainless headers, Random CAT's 3" stainless midsection with a merge X pipe and duel outlet 3" Stainless works exhaust.

The system is not real loud but it sounds wiched cool! On your scale of 1-10 I would have to say it was a 6. Very little interior cabin resonance. At wide open throttle it ROCKS!

Add Hi-flow Cats to them and it's a BIG bear at WOT.

I find most aftermarket tips too close to the bodyworks to suit me, therefore, I went with the Z06 ti's. And, the price is right, for take-offs. But, I suspect they'd be too quiet for you.

All the best.

Hey guy's,

Thanks for the responses, The video and audio links are awesome. As you have seen, many of you are in favor of the Corsa's and that's probably the way I'm leaning. I plan on placing my order on Monday, so any last minute additional advice is still appreciated..... After listening to those links, I can't wait to get my car dialed in!!!!

Thanks again

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the major brands. They all sound much better than stock. But there is quite a bit of difference in the way they sound and although the sound clips give you and idea, try to listen to some cars if you can. Just my $0.02. Right now, GHL seem to be hot. I chose them and the workmanship and support form GHL is great. I chose the GHL over Corsa, but I'm sure i'd have been happy with them too. Listen if you can... if not, just order 'em up... the WORST ones sound GREAT.

I have GHL Magnums on my ZO6 with LT headers and X-pipe. IMHO, you can't go wrong with this system. High quality polished stainless and available in 2 or 4 tip styles. Very civilized around town and cruising on the highway, and sound incredible at WOT. The magnums are also very reasonably priced. I got mine from Xtreme Motorsports, a forum vendor.
