The old "I'll be satisifed with just headers, then maybe a cam."

Next thing you know you can't find a dam clutch or rear end to hold the power of your engine!!

What else have you done to your car?
The other major mod is Patriot 5.3L heads which I primarily installed because they were so darn cheap it was more attractive to install them vs. installing a good spring package on my stock heads! I don't think they are the greatest flow heads though...

The rest of my mods are in my sig. I think the only thing that is missing is that I am running the Z06 air lid on the stock air box.

The Comp Cam 216/220 is a great cam. It's a good all around performer. The idle is nearly stock. In fact, you have to listen very closely to detect that the cam has been changed. It would make a great daily driver cam.

I intentionally choose a mild cam as the car is primarily used for drag racing and I didn't want to go quicker than a 12.00 due to roll bar regulations. The car exceeded my expectations and has already run an 11.87 with very few runs under my belt. Now that the roll bar rule has been relaxed to 11.50 I have purchased another cam (a little bigger at 224/228) in hopes of stepping up the power just a nudge.
