road pressure balancing
the new michlin runflats on the new front wheels of my 98 wibrated since new. monday i took it to a trie shop that has the new Hunter road pressure balancer that simulates the tire on the road at speed. it is so smooth now that it feels like a cadillac. the rears are Kumhos with new wheels. the machine indicated that one needed to me rotated 180 deprees on the wheel for best balance and the other to be moved about 20 degrees. after this movement neither combination were acceptable by the machine as perfect. both kuhmos appead to be slightly out of round. the front tires matched good only the original balance was not the best using near new computer balancer that the original shop had. works great for pickup but not the ultimate for corvettes with runflats. thsi shop that did the later work is equipped for wheels up to 28". crazy. they told me they sell a lot of dubs and that many of customers are back soon with ride quality complaints. DUH!!!

I had new wheels put on friday, they vibrate at about 70mph. I took it back to mr. tire (they mounted tires on wheel then car for me for free) and they said that their tire machine only balances up to 55 mph. What major tire shops can i go to that balnces real time. I believe VR tires should be balanced at much higher speeds. I have OEM EMT Runflats (new though).

FWIW your tire guy sucks and /or is lazy...when you go to someone else have them break the bead and spin the tire on the rim remove all the weights and rebalance the tire......it may take a couple times but it can be done
