Last winter project on my 2001 MN6 Coupe. Reviewed as many of the threads concerning this as I could find, but still confused. I have all the parts required. First I pulled the PCV valve off of the short 1 1/2" hose like fitting just behind, below and to the right of the throttle body. Then I discovered the cable-like fitting which fixes said valve to the cylinder head making attachment of the catch can (Campbell Hausfeld filter) more than a little difficult.
What is the purpose of the cable-like attachment? What is it called? What will happen if I disconnect the cable attachment to facilitate routing and attachment of the catch can? Am I missing something concerning the routing of the catch can? Thanks for any help
