Intake and header questions!
Ok im about to buy headers for my 99 and i got to thinking last that if i also got a ls6 or lsx manifold would i still want to buy headers that were 07-00 with the shorter air tube or would i want the updated one with the longer air tubes? Btw im thinking of gettin the kooks with off road xpipe if this matters at all. thanks ditti

Go to LS1howto.com. He has a LG header installation there where he also explains how to change over the air tube installation. Personally, I would go the LS6 route on the intake. Not sure you would benefit from the LSX and the tuning is more critical from what I have read on other forums.

Yup, with the LS6 intake you still use all the stock 99 stuff except you need to get the new Coolant line and coolant plugs. But otherwise a very easy swap.
Don't go with the LSX unless you are doing much more work then what you have eluded too. I.E. Heads/Cam.
