I noticed that my DIC was saying my rear tire where a little low 30PSI so I got out the compressor and filled them up to around 38PSI according to my tire gauge but my DIC is still reading 30.. what the hell.. how often does the sensor get the pressure reading or what???
your TP should be at 30psi. In this case I wouldn't care what the TPS says. Fill your tires up and check them with a regular TP gauge. If it still reads low, then retrain your TPS. Hope this helps.
The DIC display isn't in real time. The sensors update about once a minute when moving, but only about once an hour when idle (parked). Take your car out for a short drive, and you should see the updated psi displayed soon.
IMO, I would set the cold TP to 30 using a standard TP gauge and then retrain the TPS. If that does not work, I would have the car looked at. Your rear end should not be swaying with the AHS at 30psi. It could be a tire problem. Hope this helps.
Same problem here, they all seem to read a few PSI too low. I set mine all to exactly 30 cold and they always read lower than that even though I know for a fact that my gauge is correct. I'm not going to worry about it until my sensors go bad...
I could care less if the sensor is there or not.. I would get rid of them if I wouldn't get and error on my DIC...
Jserman,
You may want to rethink that position. The TPS system was really not designed to tell us the TP in lieu of using a TP gauge; but to warn us when there is a significant drop in TP. We carry no spare, we drive aggressively. Its nice to have a early warning system, that's what it's for. Our tires and wheels are expensive...prudent use of the TPS system may save us money and more...

I didn't think the TPS's worked at all unless the car was moving above 24mph?
My sensors are right on the money .. so much so that I trust what they DIC says. Everytime I have checked them against an expensive guage ... they have agreed.
