Default AMW catch can-sorry-confused

On LS1 which of the following is correct? 1- foam covered 3/8' line to top of catch can, lower line to PVC and lower nipple on throttle body? or 2-foam covered 3/8 line to PVC totop of catch can, lower line directly to the throttle body? Does the PVC valve go between the inlet (Top), or the outlet (Side)?

Remove the line from the throttle body and run it to the top of the catch can. Run another hose from the lower tap on the catch can back to the nipple on the throttle body.

Sorry, but I know that's not the way it goes on LS-1. I'm also concerned where to place the PCV valve in the system. PVC befoe the can on the intake side (top), or in the lower line (side)to the throttle body. Thanks for your reply.
