Jay sounds like a guy. Toyo needs more reps like him. Online tires is also spamming me but my filter is catching it all. They obviously have a communications problem as they asked me if, " I had a question"??? WTF, Of course I did I wanted to know how they stay in business with such crappy Customer Service. The Bone heads can't even read and comprehend Just stay away from this company and no one will have any problems. I am not saying stay away from Toyo Tires. As I am sure this problem is rare, but I hate to hear company reps from the home office all disagreeing with each. That ain't

Dave, when Jay can say this is rare and won't happen again I will agree with you. But if it takes this much action to get them (Toyo) involved it's just plain wrong.

I owe you an email buddy. I haven't forgotten. Heading for the shower and then on to the track for a little more tuning. Myself, not the car

Bob,
I do not work for Toyo. I am an independent wholesale distributor, and Toyo is a line I carry and I can really only guarantee how I treat my customers. I gave Josh my name and phone number on this forum because I did not like to see a fellow member and enthusiast be given the run around. I put him in direct touch with my Toyo Rep who called the Toyo Rep in Josh's state who in turn rang somebody's bell. I wanted to help a member of the forum more than rep for Toyo. Sorry for the confusion.

Respectfully,
Jay Lee

Appreciate your help Jay. Sounds like you got it going on Should of said Toyo needs more dist. like you. Like Bob said, it should of never took this much involvement to take care of the problem. Unfortantly Toyo dropped the ball on this one but, hopefully they will learn from this mistake. And I wish NoNeck the best glad the problem is about solved. Keep up the good work. Dave

Josh,
You may want to call back Raffi at tiresonline.com. He is set to ship out a set of 2 to you. See earlier this afternoon's post below.
Scott

I called onlinetires.com and spoke to Raffi at 11:53 am Eastern Time.
Trying to remain professional, I told him that I and several other friends of Josh's have been getting the run-around.

Raffi is sending you 2 new Toyos to replace the faulty 265 40 17's that you have on the front of your Z.
These are leaving his warehouse tomorrow the latest and should take no more than 4 days to arrive on your doorstep.

Raffi is also sending out a call tag for the 2 old tires. Shipper will be coming to get your tires asap. I suggest calling Raffi if you have any questions.

Josh, I live in Bethlehem, probably no more than 20 min. North of you.
I have a home based office if you want to drop the tires here for shipper to pick up, you're more than welcome as my office mgr. is here from 9 to 5.

I hope this all works out as planned, but Raffi is sending the new tires on good faith... he says.
Keep us posted brother!

There is an old service creed that states " It is so much easier to keep a customer through good service than to win one back that was lost due to bad service". How true it is!

Please keep us posted. Sounds like it is resolved, but until you have new tires mounted and tested, its an open issue!

Wow! This thread got huge! I was away all day and just checked it. Thanks for everything guys. Jay and Scott especially. I will call Raffi tommorow and maybe just wait to go to the STS store until the new tires arrive (if they in fact do...) I will definitely follow thru and keep you all posted on the outcome. Thanks again all. Looks like we at least got some attention from Onlinetires.com that I have no doubt would not have occurred without your help!

I'm not a bit surprised by your dealing with an internet tire buy. Sure there is good companies and bad ones. Once they have your money they really care less if your satisfied or not. I've have 28 years of experience in tires(now in car wholesale business) and I can tell you now, one of the problems in thire business is that wholesalers will sale tires to anybody with money. They will even sell you equipment to get you started. No experience necessary. Instead of dealing with the internet, try locating a wholesaler in your area, bet they will sale tires for cash. The bill may have another name but who cares. All you have do do is find somebody that knows what they are doing when they mount the tires.

By the way you should have tried spinning the tires 180 degrees on the wheel, they may not have been seated right. But it doesn't matter now since you have got 2 new ones coming.

The TOYOs seem to stick and handle well. For the price I 'd buy them again, but from a LOCAL dealer! I'm sure none of this would have happened had I done it that way. Ronnie, we actually did spin them 180 on the wheels. (One of them anyway.) and the problem remained, but thanks for the suggestion.

OK, todays update...called STS and told them it "Appeared" that online tires was going to ship out 2 new tires. He said no problem, but he would have been glad to order them. He said I can come in when I get the 2 new ones and have them swapped. After my phone call, FedEx pulled into my driveway to pick up the two front tires. Great, but they're still on the car. I just got off the phone with Onlinetires and Raffi was not available, so I spoke to Mike. He sounded familiar with the issue and said the 2 tires are going out today via FedEx. HE told me I can call for a Call Tag when the new tires are installed and the old tires are ready for pick up. I then asked for the manager so I could relate the whole horror story. Mike said he was the manager and when I tried to explain the history of this situation, he didn't even let me finish. He just said "I don't know what the problem was but we'll resolve it". Which was good but he didn't seem interested at all in what I had to say. So I guess it may happen to the next guy, may not. Who knows. Here's what I've learned: If you make a big purchase online, use a Credit Card so you are offered some protection and can dispute an item and withhold payment until it gets resolved. That will surely motivate them to cooperate. Also check locally first. The small amount of money I saved was not nearly worth the aggravation, and I'd rather keep the money in my community that send it somewhere else. From now on I thinkI'll shop online but buy local if possible! Anway, again thanks to all who helped. Without the vast help from members here, I feel this would still have been unresolved. Thanks guys! I'll keep you all posted as to the progress, and a review of the TOYOS once I get some miles on them.
