Default Leaking LT collectors

I have a set of Original (non Borla) LGM LTs I purchased about 2 years ago. They are leaking at the tube/ collector junction. Both sides are leaking - right and left at the same area.

Anyone else have this problem??

They're Jet-Hot coated....is it difficult to clean up the surface and weld them?? TIA.

Leapin' lizards, leaking LT collectors???? .

I'd try contacting LGM to see if they can repair of replace them.

They're leaking at the junction of the individual cyl tubes as they enter the collector - not at the X-Pipe/collector junction. Looks like they're tacked and not a circumferential weld.

Is this a common problem??

I ordered a set of Kooks 1 7/8" and a 3" X-Pipe.
I'm going back to Cats and closed loop (hopefully?).

I guess I'll sell this Catless setup.

Out of curiousity, where?

I had a leak where the driver side header flange bolts to the x pipe flange a while back.

The system uses a 2 bolt flange arrangement here. One of the two self locking nuts on the drivers side flange didn't want to self lock. A lock washer solved that.
